1. Particle grinding: When abrasive particles are ground from coarse to fine and polished, the traces of abrasive grinding on the surface of the stone change from coarse to fine and then to no visible traces to the naked eye. The surface appears smooth, flat, and delicate. When the depth reaches 110 microns, the processed surface appears mirror like luster, shining brightly, and has a bright color.
2. Physical and chemical principles: There are two processes in polishing, namely "dry polishing and wet polishing". When the polishing stone product undergoes physical and chemical reactions between "dry and wet", dry polishing occurs when the surface temperature of the stone rises, causing the water to evaporate and the concentration of the polishing stone to increase, thereby achieving a strengthening effect. The glossiness of the product begins to reach the ideal requirements, with a glossiness of 85 degrees or higher.
Generally speaking, after precision grinding, the glossiness of the product is around 40-50 degrees. However, some stone materials, such as Shanxi Black, Black Gold Sand, Jining Black, etc., cannot achieve the same glossiness after precision grinding. The glossiness of these products after precision grinding is only between 20-30 degrees, which cannot be fully explained by the previous particle grinding process. This type of product undergoes physical and chemical reactions during the polishing process of "dry and wet", temperature increase and decrease, and the polishing process is strengthened. After "dry polishing, wet polishing", the glossiness gradually increases, and the glossiness reaches over 85 degrees.
